PAUL WILSON
How many years have you been in Triathlon? 18 (first tri: 1987 Winter Tri, Monash University). You'd think I'd be better at it by now!
Why did you start? To get fit after leaving school.
What's your favourite race? Any Super Sprint event. Always a great atmosphere and lots of fun.
What's your favourite leg? Bike, although run is my strongest?
If you could win one event in the world what would it be? World Darts Championships - those guys are 'real' athletes.
What's your favourite drink? Southern and Coke.
What's your best race? Whatever my last one was.
Is there something you eat which you shouldn't? Donuts (far too many of them!)
Who is your idol? Chris Chandler.
What's the funniest thing that ever happened to you in a race? Running faster than uber-athletes Marty, Ben and Paul L at IMWA2004 !!
If you could change anything in Triathlon what would it be? The early start times for most races.
If you could have any kind of car what would it be? An expensive one so I could sell it and buy some new bikes.
