The Bayside Triathlon Club is a community based club that is available to males & females of all ages and fitness levels. The Club provides swim, ride, run and multisport training sessions around the greater Bayside area.
All newcomers are welcome. See the Membership page for details on how to join the club, or simply come along and trial a training session to experience the benefits of training in a group. The Club provides some free training sessions plus MERCURY Performance Coaching offers discounted training rates for Bayside members. Physiosports Brighton is Bayside’s Premier Partner for the 2013 / 14 and are valued partner of Bayside successfully treating a number of athletes and supporting them in their endeavours be in recovery from injury. Established in 2001, Physiosports is now the market leader in sports injury management in the local area. Services include Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Massage, Rehabilitation and Clinical Pilates, as well as Bike Set-up and Real Time Ultrasound examination. Physiosports, the therapists are experts in analysing your pain and movement problems.

Bayside Tri Club Welcomes -Sunspot Skin Cancer Clinic
Sunspot Skin Cancer Clinic (Cheltenham) is a privately owned and operated skin cancer clinic offering a high quality service for the prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers. Sunspot have experienced medical practitioners to provide a full skin examination to assess any spots or lesions on the skin. Using imaging technology, suspicious lesions can be scanned, photographed and recorded for accurate monitoring and follow-up. Bayside partnership with Sunspot aims to raise awareness about sun damage and safety for members. It is important to have routine skin examinations so contact the clinic.

Ironman Melbourne Beer Mile 2014
Bayside Tri Club is proud to announce that we will be hosting a Beer Mile event following the 2014 Ironman Melbourne. Bayside are excited to acknowledge the rich heritage of the Port Mac Beer Mile and establish a new social event for Ironman Melbourne filling the gap between the Hawaii roll down and the awards party.
We've organised some great prizes for entrants with thanks to our Sponsors too. These are;

The Beer Mile: 4 repeats of - skol 1 can beer followed by a 200m run
Rules: IM Melbourne Competitors only. Please show race band as proof. Dress up is encouraged with a prize for the winner and best dressed in addition to spot prizes. Beers should be in cans, not bottles, full strength not pre-opened. After the skol, the beer must be tipped upside down above your head before you may begin your next lap. The winner will be the first competitor home over the finish line after completing 4 laps (4 X Skol of beer and 200m run)

April Swim Squad Technique Focus
Four Squads per week: 6:30pm Monday & Wednesday, 6am Tuesday & Friday
The elbow leads the recovery phase and is followed by the hand. The hand moves forward close to the head in a relaxed position. The elbow bramins flexed and higher than the hand throughout the recovery. The arm starts to extend fowards slightly in preparation for entry
Next longer efforts and open water skills
Once a month we will do a longer time trial pace effort, with one Novice lane and a combined double lane. Wesuits optional (note the water is heated and wesuits are not required)

Bayside signs partnership with GESAC
The Bayside Triathlon Club is pleased to announce is has signed an agreement to be the triathlon coaching provider with the new Glen Eira Sports & Aquatic Centre (GESAC). Bayside members will now have access to a great new swim training venue and are able to offer a wider range of training at better value for money. With our training alignment with Taylormade Triathlon Club, Bayside will now offer up to 10 coached sessions per week and specifically cater for both the beginner and experience triathlete.
